The participants in the Clean Air Policy Initiative support adoption of the Clean Air Planning Act of 2007.  The bill proposes aggressive air quality improvements, while relying on market-based regulatory mechanisms to ensure cost-effective compliance.  This flexibility will encourage new, clean sources of generation while preserving a diverse electric generation fuel mix.
